Thank You :) for such a WONDERFUL housewarming!

We would like to thank all our family and friends who attended our housewarming party this weekend! It was so wonderful to see everyone and get a chance to visit/ break in the new home! We were so delighted to see everyone having a great time! we look forward to having you all over for many years to come...we LOVE parties!!

House Update :)

So we have learned that no matter how much advice you get or how prepared you think you may be all this house stuff is truly STRESSFUL :)! We are both so thankful for how much our families and friends have truly helped us out over these last several weeks.

Lately Rocco and I have been showing up to our house each evening to check out the progress on the day's work and to our surprise it always looks amazingly different than the day before. The other day Rocco mentioned that he feels like we are on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and that we are so lucky to see all these changes happen before our eyes :)

So we have owned the house for a little over a month (we had to make our first house payment last week...scary but totally awesome!) and we have so far:
1. painted the entire inside of the house...i mean the ENTIRE inside...cabinets, doors and all!
2. had new carpet and hardwood floors installed
3. had the fireplace refinished with stacked stone
4. put a concrete walkway & new entry in the of the house
5. put flagstone on the porch
6. painted the exterior darker color with light trim
7. and we are in the process of having the whole front yard re-landscaped

it seems like we have come so far in the last month and it is truly exciting to know that we will share this home together for many years to come!

We look forward to revealing all the hard work and changes to our home at the Housewarming Party :)

Halloween was FUN!!

So Rocco and I had a very BUSY Halloween! This year we decided to be economical, so rather than going to buy our costumes we decided to MAKE our own! I decided to be a lady-bug and Rocco decided to be a cowboy. We had such a great time with all our friends! We hope that everyone else had a happy and safe Halloween too!

Thank You!!!

Rocco and I just wanted to thank all of our family and friends who came to help us paint this weekend! It was so much fun and we would have never got so much done in two days if it wasn't for all of you :)

We took some before & after pics and some action shots (painting can be action packed!! just ask Rocco). I'll post the pics this week...

Thanks again, we LOVE you all!

It has already been a year!!!

Wow, I can't believe how fast this last year has passed by! September 28, 2008 was a day I will never forget because it was the day Rocco got down on one knee and asked me a very important question "Will you Marry Me?"

Let me provide a little recap of the engagement day :)
So Rocco asked me if we could go away for one day for our seven year anniversary so I thought that sounded like fun because we have never gone away like that. So he was really secretive about where we were going but he told me what to pack and what time to be ready! We arrived at our destination, the Pierpont Inn in Ventura, and decided shortly after to go have some lunch in downtown Ventura. As I think back Rocco seemed a little anxious during lunch, but I was completely oblivious about what was about to happen.

We returned to the Pierpont and our cottage was ready, yes a cottage...so cute!

We got ready for dinner which Rocco told me was going to be at the restaurant at the hotel, but to my surprise when I walked out the front door there was a gazebo decorated with rose petals, candles and twinkle lights and Rocco said, "that's where we'll be having dinner tonight!" I was completely shocked and when we sat at the table the menu's had our names on them and it was filled with all my favorite foods as options.

Once we finished eating, Rocco reached under the table and pulled out a pretty box and then asked the BIG question! I was truly taken by surprise and of course I said YES! He picked out a gorgeous ring (we never went ring shopping together :) !) He even arranged for our parents and some of our friends to be there to greet us right after!
That day Rocco made me the happiest girl in the world and he continues to do so every day we spend together! I love you forever Bub, love your Cutie :) XOXO

Home Sweet Home!!!

You don't know how excited Rocco and I are about our newest purchase...OUR FIRST HOME! So we decided in July that it would be a good idea to start hunting for a house. We looked at the experiences of some of our married friends and realized that setting up the "nest" before the BIG DAY is a great idea! Our search was interesting to say the least... there were a lot of homes that we thought would be "perfect" and it seemed that we were making offers on a daily basis, however, we know that the house we found is truly the perfect house for us.

Rocco and I are both superstitious (in a good way :)!) and look for signs to help guide us through life - a couple of the signs that led us to this house were...
1. It went on the market on July 22nd (Rocco's Birthday)
2. It was sold and fell out of escrow at which point we went to see it and made our offer (Hello! this was like the eye opener for us...it was meant to be!)
So here are pics of us at our new home today...we will be posting many more as we paint and give our home some style!

The happy homeowners with our loving and supportive parents and Grandma & Grandpa Francescon

Our Eight Year Anniversary!

Wow, eight years have come and gone extremely quickly! I remember the day exactly how it happened...September 22nd, 2001 - The Howdy Dance - our junior year at GHS. It was the night we shared our first dance, the first time we held each other's hands, and the first time we kissed! We haven't left each other's side since. The moments of happiness were plentiful. The struggles made us appreciate each other more. Both made our love stronger. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. Love you cutie!

More blogs to come this week so stay tuned!
